Communication is Key!

H.E.I.D.I. supported Colson John, a sixth-grade student at Gillespie Middle School, by providing him with a communication device designed to enhance his daily learning experience and help him engage more fully in the classroom.

Along with the iPad, Colson's family also received funds for a LAMP Words for Life app to help with his communication during classes. Just weeks later, Colson's teacher has already seen increased functional communication and growth in his academic engagement while using the device.
